In our Light and Power
group, we are studing the "Follow Me" Bible study curriculum. This curriculum
is being studied church wide in the Sunday sermon and weekly Bible studies.
Here is the session for the second week of Follow Me. It is about a half
hour.
This will also give you a feel for how we run our weekly teaching
time.
Special thanks to Curtis Hall for putting this video
together.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI found the “light and power” online video very enlightening. It was pleasant to see all the familiar faces of the visitors that were in our class just a few weeks ago. I like that Dr. McNair used a John 15:1-11 as the bible verse to begin this particular lesson, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” Using the connection to the vine and branches is a great example of how Jesus lives inside of us and we will always be dependent of him. I really enjoyed that learning to love one another is an important step to transformation. Changing yourself is not only about changing who you are, but how you treat others as well.
